Gentlemen, this is the first of what may well be many comments on our movie evenings...or maybe the last!
On that note let me report that while we sorely missed Chuck/Charles, Joel (and, of course, Dave) we have to admit we had a great evening after seeing an excellent show. the scores speak for themselves and I dare say even Charles would have grudgingly given it a high score (but we may never know).
Wilford regaled us with his tales of his 6 week trek thru western US and Canada but most of us only remember that old people got naked and it was not pretty. Bill was relatively subdued and that well may have been because his unwed daughter (and my god daughter) is with child (not mine!!!). We all celebrated the blessed news and evidently Bill is happy with the young father and the thought of yet another grandchild (which may put him solidly in the lead among the group). Congrats to Summer who evidently is giving some serious thought to marrying the guy but in no rush. Vince...no news.
I invited Monty to join us and he did so bringing not only a little explanation of the new blog but also embarrassing us all by actually remembering names of directors, movies and dates of the movies. We may need a lot more of him and other young minds around. Thanks Monty. By the way, Monty will send out a note on how anyone who wants to make a post to this blog can set up to do so...but he tells me that you can immediately respond to this post by clicking "comments" below...bring it on!
